Hector Rivera Santoyo

 

Hector Rivera Santoyo is a guitarist, arranger and producer with over 20 years of experience in the music business. From session musician to renowned guitar teacher, current columnist for "Guitarra MX"  magazine has performed in venues with his former band Alma Mater. In 2014 Hector became a product specialist for Roland LatinAmerica and  was involved in the production and arrangements for the singer/songwriter Oscar Tufic’s record “Todo lo que no soy” (la cuatro records 2015) where acted as a guitarist and musical director in the live band for the album.

His style can be classified as power Rock with melodic shades adding an innate sensibility to complement the musical piece as a result of his constant search and preparation that has allowed him to keep moving forward improving his work. Hector continues earning recognition with peers, students and the general public, which has given him a place as clinician for Roland/Boss showcasing their products all over Mexico and Central America.


Besides his clinics, Hector is currently dedicated teaching guitar to his numerous students, playing  the club circuit with his cover band Triton Rock, touring with L.A. based mexican singer Joe Castillo (Currently promoting his first major release LP) as well as working in different recordings in his studio while promoting his first all original music EP "Tempus Fugit" consisting of six instrumental songs, already available in all streaming and download digital platforms.
