Suez Boyle is a British punk bassist and member of Bristol rock ’n’ roll band Split Dogs. Her musical career began in the DIY punk scene, where she played bass with The Walking Abortions as a teenager. At 16, she performed at the first Rebellion Festival, establishing an early connection with one of the UK's major punk gatherings.
Suez joined Split Dogs in 2023. Formed around vocalist Harry Martinez and guitarist Mil Martinez, the band combines punk, garage rock and hard-edged ’70s rock ’n’ roll. Her bass provides much of the weight behind the band's guitar-driven sound, working alongside drummer Chris Hugall to create the tight, forceful rhythm section that has become central to their live performances.
Her first Split Dogs album was Here To Destroy, released in 2025. Recorded live over three days at Middle Farm Studios with producer Peter Miles, the album deliberately retained a raw, analogue character, reflecting the band's approach to recording and their reputation as a live act.
By 2026, Split Dogs had developed into a relentless touring band, taking their high-energy performances across the UK and Europe, building a following through festivals, headline dates and increasingly ambitious tours.
Split Dogs returned to the studio for Nice N' Rough, released by Venn Records on 25 September 2026. Produced by Jonah Falco and recorded at The Station House in Leeds with engineer James Atkinson, the album contains thirteen tracks and pushes the band's combination of punk aggression, garage grit and classic rock ’n’ roll further. The album has also marked a significant moment for Split Dogs commercially. Nice N' Rough entered the UK Official Albums Chart at number 16, while reaching number 4 on the Rock & Metal Albums Chart and number 9 on the Record Store Chart
The album represents the latest stage in her journey from teenage punk musician to established member of a band increasingly making its presence felt beyond the DIY circuit. While Split Dogs have evolved considerably since their earliest material, the band's underlying philosophy remains rooted in punk: play hard, play loud, make no compromises and keep the music connected to the people in the room.
