THOTH KHALAFEIN

Guitarist | HEREMOD / DCMTN | Singapore

Thoth Khalafein is a Singapore-based extreme metal guitarist whose musical journey is rooted in the aggression, atmosphere and uncompromising spirit of death and black metal.

As a guitarist and co-founder of HEREMOD, a blackened death metal band, Thoth's musical approach combines dark, melodic passages with relentless rhythm work, balancing atmospheric intensity with raw aggression.

He is also the guitarist of DCMTN (Decimation), an old-school death metal band that draws influence from the brutality of traditional death metal while incorporating elements of modern technicality and precision.

Performing on baritone and extended-range guitars, Thoth's playing is characterised by aggressive riffing, fast alternate and tremolo picking, and an emphasis on clarity and articulation. His approach to music is driven by a commitment to continually refining his craft while remaining true to the roots of extreme metal.

Having used AttakPik picks for approximately three to four years, Thoth favours the Stealth XL for its ergonomic design, secure grip and comfortable feel. The pick complements his playing style, providing the control, consistency and confidence he values during rehearsals, recording sessions and live performances.

KEEP IT REAL. KEEP IT METAL.
