Why your picking hand feels faster than it sounds

What a bevel actually is

The physics of a clean release

Think about what has to happen on every single pick stroke. The tip pushes into the string, the string bends, and then the string has to slip off the edge of the pick to sound the note. The shape of that edge decides how quickly the string escapes.
