// About the Picks
What makes AttakPik different from ordinary picks?
Every AttakPik model has a patented surface structure at the tip that interacts with the string differently than a smooth pick. This isn't cosmetic texture — it's engineered geometry that creates richer harmonic content, better grip on the string, and more dynamic range. We use two distinct systems: the Beveled Apex (Stealth series) and Ridged Tip (Surge, Blade, Attak, Ambush, and more). Hear the difference →
Which pick should I start with?
Take the Pick Finder quiz — it matches your playing style, genre, and instrument to the right model in under 60 seconds. If you'd rather try a range, grab the Starter Bundle which includes models from both systems so you can feel the difference yourself.
What's the difference between Beveled Apex and Ridged Tip?
The Beveled Apex (Stealth series) has an angled slope to a precision point covered in layers — think of it as an all-encompassing speed machine with different gears depending on how you hold it. The Ridged Tip (Surge, Blade, Attak, Ambush, etc.) has micro-engineered ridges at the tip that excite harmonic overtones on every string contact. Both systems improve tone, grip, and dynamics — they just do it in different ways. Learn more on The Science page →
Do these picks work for acoustic guitar?
Absolutely. The Stealth Flex, Surge, Attak, and Earthtone are particularly popular with acoustic players. The surface structure adds warmth, shimmer, and harmonic complexity that acoustic guitarists love — especially on strumming patterns where an ordinary pick sounds thin. Hear acoustic demos →
Do they work for bass?
Yes. The Juggernaut was specifically designed for bass — it's rigid, thick, and built for heavy strings. The Stealth and Blade II are also popular with bass players who want more attack definition and harmonic presence.
How long do they last?
It depends on how aggressively you play, but most players find AttakPiks last significantly longer than standard picks. The materials are high-density polymers engineered for durability. The Stealth series v2.0 durability upgrade was a major improvement — many players report months of regular use before needing a replacement.
